Dick Schmidt, ZenVair 601 HD N518G, Wisconsin

Dick Schmidt lives in the Oshkosh, Wisc., area and has dozens of years experience flying ultralights. He's worked on his HD part time the past few years. He commented both on the engine's smoothness and what a good flying plane the HD is. The plane sports a very nice blue and silver paint job. Dick's engine is plans built straight out of our Our Conversion Manual and features our Cowl, Mount, Exhaust, Starter System, Dual Ignition System, and Prop Hub. HD models have header tanks, allowing the use of gravity feed. Thus, Dick's airplane can use a 35mm Aero-Carb.
